  • Ran ‘awareness' days at nurseries and early years settings for parents and staff on the use of ICT to support early learning.
  • Training teachers and support staff in mainstream schools on the use of ICT to support inclusive teaching and learning.
  • Worked together with an LEA to audit equipment and make recommendations for the development of ICT in a new generic special school formed from the amalgamation of three MLD, SLD and PMLD schools.
  • Working together with special schools to help plan and template accessible school web sites, which reflect the vibrancy and ethos of their schools.
  • Worked together with schools and other organisations to improve curriculum access and support for people with visual impairment.
  • Delivered training on the use of Interactive Whiteboards, sharing good practice and identifying strategies for including learners with a range of special needs.
  • Worked together with multi-disciplinary teams or individuals supporting the assessment of clients requiring the provision of access devices or electronic communication aids.
  • Worked with schools to provide ‘pre OFSTED' reviews of use of ICT across the curriculum, making recommendations for areas of potential progress and helping write curriculum action plans.
  • Delivered product training and shared examples of good practice in the use of specific software packages such as Clicker or Writing with Symbols 2000.
  • Delivered training in the use of access devices and other assistive technology, identifying clear progression routes to aid planning and target setting.
