The Tobii C15 is especially suitable for users who are not ambulatory or who use a wheelchair. Together with the optional eye control module, the Tobii CEye, it's appropriate for users who have limited or no use of hands or other body parts such as:
- Users in the early and late phases of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)
- Individuals with Cerebral Palsy
- People who have suffered from stroke/aphasia
With the Tobii C15, you can easily engage in daily communication via text or symbols that generate speech. You can also effortlessly connect with others through e-mail, text messaging and chat, surf the web, play games and access regular computer applications*.
The Tobii C15 even offers environmental control (ECU) that allows you to control IR enabled equipment such as TVs, DVD players, doors and light switches.
The 15” screen gives you the choice of displaying many symbols and a lot of text, as well as larger, more legible symbols that are easier to see and select. The large screen also provides more screen estate for running regular window applications.
Support for all access methods gives you the freedom of selecting the method that best suits your needs and abilities – touch screen, keyboard and mouse, switches, head mouse or eye control.
Hot swappable batteries make the C15 the ideal device for wheelchair users who require extensive portability. When one set of batteries is running low, simply replace them with a fully charged set, without having to shut down the device – providing limitless hours of communication.
Together with Tobii Communicator and the extensive Tobii Sono Suite, Tobii C15 becomes a complete AAC solution. Not only does it facilitate effective communication, but also the development of literacy and language.
