Aims:
• Ensure a good quality of education for pupils
• Be aware of and to take a lead in the dissemination of good practice
at a local and national level.
• Be a focus for the concerns of teachers.
• Challenge for the entitlement of pupils.
• Further develop the collaboration of parents and professionals in the
formulation of good practice.
• Facilitate the rights of pupils to speak for themselves.
At a national level they:
• Arrange twice yearly conferences with nationally recognised speakers
• Maintain a regular update in S.L.D. Experience
• Produce a regular newsletter
• Provide members with new updates on relevant issues
• Co-ordinate regional concerns.
