BILD offers the following services for professionals and carers working with adults and children with learning disabilities.
Education and Training - In-house courses, training needs analysis, course accreditation, validation courses, development of study materials, conferences and seminars.
Information and Resources - Library and resource centre, information database, literature searches, article reprints, books and journals, membership network.
Research and Consultancy - Service evaluation, improving quality, service development, applied research projects.
They have a multidisciplinary membership which provides services and resources for professionals, staff, carers and researches in health, education, nursing, social services; in community and residential settings. Parents, families and people with learning disabilities themselves also use BILD.
