Inclusive is named ICT Company of the Year
Inclusive Technology was named ICT Company of the Year at the BETT Awards 2010, at a gala dinner on 13th January at the Hilton Park Lane.
ICT Company of the Year is a prestigious accolade in the educational ICT industry and aims to reward companies for introducing inclusive top quality products in educational facilities around the UK.
Martin Littler, Chairman of Inclusive, said: "It has been an honour over the years to support those learners most in need of extra help. ICT is particularly important in bringing new opportunities to children with special needs, so it is wonderful to be named as ICT Company of the Year in the BETT Awards."
The Award judges commented that, "in times when there is a lack of support for special educational needs, Inclusive Technology has a proven track-record in championing the cause of special educational needs/inclusion through ICT." They also said Inclusive "has gone above and beyond the expectations of an ICT-solutions provider."
BETT is the largest educational technology event in the world, with up to 25,000 teachers attending each January. Like the Edinburgh festival it has spawned a fringe, with specialist special needs companies exhibiting independently at the Special Needs Fringe in the Olympia Hilton next door.
The BETT Awards have been designed to recognise and reward the creativity, innovation and commitment of an organisation or company in developing high quality and effective educational ICT resources. Over 300 products are nominated each year for an Award.
