The Special Needs Fringe
2003, the assistive technology and special needs exhibition organised by
Inclusive Consultancy and Training, has received the accolade of support and
sponsorship from Special Children Magazine.
This brings together two organisations that are committed to supporting the special needs client group and to providing practitioners with the resources and support they need.
"Special Children has a wide readership amongst professionals working in the field of Special Education and its support will be invaluable in helping to build awareness of this event. Our ultimate objective is to create world awareness for the best technology that Britain, the United States, and anywhere else, can produce to help people with special needs to communicate and learn," said Martin Littler, Chairman of the Inclusive Consultancy and Training.
Special Children is an independent publication that presents a variety of views and perspectives on current issues in the field of special educational needs.
"We are delighted to lend our support to the Special Needs
Fringe, as a forum that truly reflects the requirements of special needs
educators. It matches our emphasis on keeping decision-makers and practitioners
up to date and well informed about good practice and new developments," said
Linda Evans, Editor of Special Children.
The Special Needs Fringe 2003 includes a full assistive technology and special needs exhibition, giving special educators more ideas, information and opportunities to develop their resources than ever.
It includes the big names in British special needs software such as Crick Software, Widgit Software and Inclusive Technology, as well as international assistive technology companies like Dynavox, Liberator, Toby Churchill, Possum, Prentke Romich and QED. It also features a complimentary seminar programme, to help educators to keep up to date with current practice and new initiatives, as well as free refreshments and somewhere to sit down and network in comfort.
The show will be at the Kensington Olympia Hilton, two minutes away from the annual BETT Exhibition, from Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th January 2003.
