Top twenty software products
Our top twenty software products are listed in the order of gross
profit. This is the contribution they made to paying the rent, our wages and
printing our catalogues and mailing them to you. These twenty products are just
15% of our range but produce 60% of our software income and subsidize a range
of specialist "low incidence disability" products at the bottom of the sales
league. These low selling products are well known to teachers, therapists and
classroom assistants working with learners facing the greatest individual
challenges and are well worth the subsidy provided by our software champions
listed below.
All our customers have an industry leading 100 days to send
products back to us for a full refund. So you can be pretty sure that this top
twenty are justly popular with users who have tried them, liked them and kept
them.
- SwitchIt! Maker
- Make your own cause and effect switch software. So simple because we refuse
to add any more features!
- Inclusive Writer - Fully featured word processor that will provide additional
support, including word/picture support for those with learning
difficulties.
- BoardMaker -
Mayer-Johnson are so successful and so central to symbol communication that
many people totally confuse their PCS Picture Communication Symbols with PECS
(Picture Exchange Communication System). I don't think they mind too much!
- ChooseIt Maker
- Making choices. Often the next learning stage after cause and effect and
timing for the switch user. Make your own choosing software and you will never
run out!
- Clicker - very
popular onscreen overlay keyboard, word-processor and more.
- Writing with
Symbols - Everything you need for symbol communication including a fully
featured word processor.
- Lifeskills: 24
hrs a day - Much needed software for older learners. Produced in
cooperation with Knowsley Borough Council and ICDC at John Moores
University.

All of the first seven programs have titles that say what
the software does and this is a major factor in their success. Programs like
Pixel (KS1 Literacy),
Bubble Reef (KS1 numeracy) and
Knowsley Woods (KS2 numeracy) are
really, really good but certainly lose sales because their purpose is not
immediately obvious. However some programs overcome this handicap
like
|
 Bubble Reef -
KS1 numeracy - great fun with the Meemees and Burper |
- Spider &
Friends - Early mathematics with Spider and Friends. In the States this
program is published very successfully for us by IntelliTools and called "Early
Math with Spider and Friends". Hey!
- Teddy Games - a
fantastic collection of switch, mouse or touch monitor activities that we
publish for LäraMera. We can't wait to have Inclusive TLC Inc. publish
this for our American customers.
- SwitchIt!
Patterns - Great "in your face" cause and effect software. Very
configurable.
- WordShark -
The doyen of the dyslexia page.
- Abrakadabra -
Really good scene building software for switch users. Great value with thirty
scenes.
- Starspell 2001
- Look - listen - cover - write - check
into the new millennium.
- SwitchIt! At
Home - Build domestic torture items: vacuum cleaner, washing machine,
ironing board etc. Grown up looking with animated rewards and real sounds.
- Touch! - Huge fun
with a touch monitor or mouse. Games for visual discrimination skills.
- Learn More About
Maths - Did you know the LäraMera is "learn more" in Swedish? Early
Maths activities including telling the time.
- SwitchIt!
Scenes - My favourite switch building cause and effect software. Notice the
hats.
- Making Sense with
Numbers - LäraMera can certainly name software!
- Disco - Switch
cause and effect for older learners and young adults.
- Touch
Balloons - hand-eye coordination tracking skills. Great graphics and
sound!
