House Of Lords Crest

Inclusive at the House of Lords

We recently brought together over ninety special educators and Parliamentarians to discuss whether the Government is doing enough to support learners with special needs. Following a lively discussion hosted by Baroness Walmsley with keynote speaker Ivan Lewis MP, attendees were urged to email Martin Littler with any further comments they would like ministers to take into consideration. As a Red Alert reader you can add your views too, by emailing Martin.

Taking the theme of ‘The Inclusive Classroom’, these practice focused CPD days will explore how ICT and assistive technology can be meaningfully embedded into the wider school curriculum. Why not come along and pick up your copy of our Assistive Technology Handbook, too? The days are free, including lunch, but booking is essential; please contact us to secure your place. Our next event is in Leeds on 14th March 2007 - see the full programme.

Special Needs North has over 160 product and service suppliers and an inspirational CPD seminar programme. It provides the opportunity for teachers and support workers to seek specific advice, information and support about particular pupil needs or certain classroom situations. The show takes place alongside the Early Years and Primary Teaching Exhibition, so why not visit both?

We aim to keep you informed about the world of assistive technology and happenings here at Inclusive, by sending six bulletins per year. And we'd love your feedback! Please contact me by replying to this email or via martin@inclusive.co.uk and let me know what you think.
