Why not apply for a Learning Alliance Teacher Fellowship? There is generous funding for you and your school. Inclusive Technology is sponsoring one of the Fellowships, in order to explore and develop the use of ICT hardware and/or software to help children with disabilities, special or additional needs to learn, join in and enjoy life. You could use the award to set up a development, project or action-research project, such as trialling ICT devices in your teaching. Applications close 12th June. |

Find out why jogging is good for you. Sprinting, rounders and other sports played in school and college are also featured. Anyone living in Oldham and Suffolk can now buy a Next Generation Learning @Home computer and internet package to support their children's learning. Low-income families can apply for a grant. A wide range of assistive technology is available through the Home Access programme to ensure that all learners can use a computer even if they cannot use a standard computer and mouse. This fun activity is ideal for those just beginning to learn to use a mouse, including young children, those with physical disabilities or learning difficulties. Lots of colourful trails help establish the relationship between mouse and cursor movements, and there are engaging sound effects and music too. Simply roll over a colour to select it, then move the cursor to create a trail! Really easy to use - no need to hold the mouse button down. |

| The ACE Centre offers high quality, comprehensive CPD for anyone working with people with complex communication needs and/or physical difficulties. The emphasis on work-based practice will encourage you to develop your knowledge and enhance your working practices. Courses range from one-day sessions about using assistive technology to four-day accredited courses. They are run by the ACE Centre Advisory Trust (Oxford) or ACE Centre North (Oldham). |
