Inclusive Technology has purchased the trade, goodwill, operations, stock and debtors of UK company Don Johnston Special Needs Ltd. In partnership with US company Don Johnston, Inc., Inclusive will also publish and promote their popular products in the UK. Don Johnston is well known for supporting learners with dyslexia and highly regarded products like Co:Writer 6, Write:Outloud 6 and Read:Outloud 6. Why not enter your school for a 21st Century Learning Alliance award? Through the award, the Alliance will identify and celebrate the achievements of schools that are excelling in how they approach key areas of their work or environment. The four areas to be considered for the award are: teaching and learning methods; people, resources and the curriculum; time; and space. The deadline to enter has been extended to 17 April 2009.

Have fun while learning how to use two switches effectively. Switch Skills for Two Set One has 16 activities that encourage the learner to move beyond the stage of cause and effect. Choose a dancer to perform on-screen by pressing the left or right switch. There are also spacemen to jump into rockets and blast off, basketball players to help shoot baskets, a crocodile to be woken up and fed and much more. Switch Skills for Two Set Two introduces switch scanning skills and help move the learner towards the skills required to use, for example, a scanning communicator.
