Why not apply for a Teacher Fellowship from the 21st Century Learning Alliance?
Inclusive Technology is sponsoring one of the Fellowships, in order to explore and develop the use of ICT hardware and/or software to help children with disabilities, special or additional needs to learn, join in and enjoy life.
You could use the Fellowship to set up a development, project or small action-research project that relates to one of the Learning Alliance's four areas of focus, which are:
• Space (e.g. school buildings and the outside environment)
• Time (e.g. timetabled school time and time beyond the timetabled day)
• Teaching, learning, assessment and the curriculum
• People and resources
The aim of the Alliance is to help schools to prepare young people for the various challenges they will face in the future. You can propose an aspect of learning you believe to be of significance, ranging from trialling ICT devices in your teaching, through to projects such as innovations affecting the curriculum or pupil involvement, as part of a whole school change. The vital ingredient is your disposition and energy!
A grant of £5,000 will be paid to the school to draw off necessary funds for visits, resources and release in order to pursue the identified project. You will be expected to produce a presentation on your findings. A personal £1,000 honorarium, included within the grant, will be paid on successful completion of the Fellowship.
The deadline for applications has now closed.
