SwitchIt! Bob the Builder Smashes Fundraising Target

Inclusive Technology's SwitchIt! Bob the Builder has smashed targets and raised over £60,000 for Manchester's New Children’s Hospital Appeal.
Following the successful conclusion of The New Children’s Hospital Appeal Inclusive has now committed to donating all proceeds from the software to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity, which launched earlier this year.
Inclusive developed SwitchIt! Bob the Builder free of charge so that all proceeds could go towards The New Children’s Hospital Appeal, with an original target of £50,000. The software was produced with the kind permission of the BBC and leading pre-school children’s entertainment producers and rights owners HIT Entertainment.
"We are delighted the software has proved so popular and helped the Appeal to meet its aims," said Inclusive Technology's Chairman, Martin Littler. "It has the added benefit of bringing activities featuring Bob and his friends within reach of the most severely disabled youngsters, including those who need special switches to access a computer."
The New Children’s Hospital Appeal raised funds to support the new state-of-the-art children’s hospital which opened in central Manchester in summer 2009. Spearheaded by Bob the Builder, the Appeal helped to provide the latest equipment for treatment and diagnosis as well as on site accommodation for families caring for a child in hospital.
Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity raises funds to ensure continued excellence in treatment, care and research, enhancing the lives of thousands of children each year. For details see www.rmchcharity.org.uk
