Working memory is a fundamental cognitive function that is necessary for our ability to carry out a number of mental activities, such as reading, counting and problem solving. It means we can maintain and use a limited amount of information during a short time. A number of recent studies and evaluations indicate that it is possible to train working memory. This new software has been evaluated with children aged 7 to 11 with ADHD. The children training with the working memory software significantly improved in tests measuring verbal working memory and arithmetic skills.
