Scan4 is a scanning version of the popular 4talk4 classroom speech output device. Four large, coloured buttons, each with its own message. Four distinct levels for pre-recorded messages. Plastic pocket inserts to allow you to use your own pictures to represent the messages. Excellent, clear speech with adjustable volume control (loud enough for school assembly!). Scan4 has been carefully designed to be used as an introduction to scanning. It has very bright scanning lights, auditory scanning and can use single or two switch scanning. As with 4talk4, it has sockets to connect battery operated devices, and comes with two toy leads.

Encourage your switch users to understand scanning and selection of their choice. Bright lights, clear speech and a real outcome (with toys connected).

Traditional single switch scanning, starting at a realistically slow speed. Two switch scanning for the user who can manage two switches and have more control. It also includes a single switch "dwell" scan mode, where pressing the switch controls the scan, and dwelling on the one you want causes it to activate.

Scan4 can also be used in direct mode. Press the areas to hear the message. The light above the active area will light up - to reinforce which one has been pressed.
