Literacy and Dyslexia Suite

A superb suite of programs from Sensory Software International.

• AllWrite - a word processor with special accessibility options for learners with visual or cognitive difficulties.

• ProtoType - writing and spelling support. Helps with choosing and spelling words using prediction, word banks, spell checking, speech and symbols. Use it with a word processor or any text-based application, such as email.

• Reader - reads menus, dialogue boxes, web pages and text from most programs. The output can be speech alone, large text or illustrated with symbols.

• WordWall - enters text into Windows programs by clicking with a mouse. In addition to simple word bars, the grids can include text and pictures or provide an on-screen keyboard with word prediction and support for word banks. Works with any Sensory Software Grid Set.

Used individually or together, these programs allow solutions tailored to the individual's needs. They can also share features like dictionaries, word lists and symbol libraries, which saves teacher time when creating materials.
