"Mathematics made magical!"

A delightful journey of discovery for children between the ages of 7 and 11, Knowsley Woods explores the intricacies of Mathematics and the relationship between numbers, whilst engaging the mind of young learners.

This CD has come from collaboration between designers and teachers and covers 3 main areas of the Maths curriculum:

• order and place value
• addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• fractions, decimals and place value

Set in the eerie, fictional Knowsley Woods, a variety of games can be accessed via a map. Each activity (25 in all) is hosted by an extraordinary creature which will charm and amuse you, set Mathematical problems and give help and guidance.

Recyclable rubbish is used as a scoring system - the more rubbish you collect from the woods, the more money you receive by recycling it at the end. In turn this money can be used to buy trees to plant and help save the environment.
