FLIC The Framework for Language and Interaction in the Curriculum (FLIC) promotes the development of communication through play. The CD-Rom provides full colour resources, session plans, objective and record sheets. FLIC comprises a series of topic-based teaching plans and objectives for the busy class teacher or teaching assistant to use in running communication groups within a mainstream or special school setting. There is a full set of resources at three levels of development: emerging communication (pre-verbal), developing communication and expanding communication. The material forms a fully structured programme, saving precious time. The resources can be printed out or customised first. It contains topics closely linked to the National Curriculum and Foundation Stage including minibeasts, the seaside, food and shopping, homes and families, and colour. It has 77 games, over 980 images, 15 programme sheets and 15 objective sheets. There is also a level assessment and guide, recording sheet and hints and tips. |
