Boardmaker Activity Pad

Boardmaker Activity Pad (BAP) puts interactive activities right into the hands of the learner! Using innovative patented technology, printed activities are inserted into SmartPockets that slide easily into the BAP, buttons are assigned and recorded, and everything is saved to a chip on the SmartPocket itself. Each pocket carries its own recording time.

BAP uses voice output, visual stimulation and tactile activation. Learners with special needs especially benefit, as they can have access to the curriculum using differentiated and personalised activities.

BAP includes:

• Over 125 sample activities and templates for use with Boardmaker software.
• 10 double sided, durable SmartPockets.
• Up to 32 programmable buttons per activity.
• Up to four minutes recording time per SmartPocket.
• Guard prevents users removing the SmartPocket.
• Volume control and headphone facility.
• Built-in retractable carry handle.
• Buttons can be made switch accessible (switch jacks built-in).
• Size: 292mm x 242mm x 45mm. Weight: 386g.
• Requires four AA batteries.

Two activities are held in each re-usable SmartPocket. Buttons can be located almost anywhere, rather than conforming to a grid. Activities are easily created in Boardmaker (sample activities and templates included).

NB. Activities must be printed on letter size paper and cut apart before inserting into a SmartPocket. You could also use photographs or other printed material.

How do I use the BAP?

• Print your Boardmaker activities onto a sheet of paper.
• Insert the activity sheet into a SmartPocket.
• Slide the pocket into the BAP.
• Assign buttons and record voice or sound on the BAP.
• Everything is saved to a chip on the SmartPocket itself and each pocket carries its own recording time!
