Build It!
This is a program that enables the building of pictures with sound effects by repeatedly pressing either switches(connected to the serial port of your computer) or the buttons on your mouse. Each time you press a switch (or mouse button) more of the picture is presented. The program is directed towards switch users, for children and adults with disabiliteis.
It comes with a range of pictures to build, however, it also enables you to load your own pictures and associate your own sound effects with them. Once you have created your own materials and style, you can save that configuration and load it again.
Notes:
- Build It! uses windows metafiles for the pictures (.wmf).
- A utility program, Builder, is provided with this package. Builder allows you to set breakpoints in the picture, i.e.the parts of the pictures to play to each time a switch is pressed.
