Magento 2/PHP Developer

We’re looking for a creative PHP developer experienced in Magento 2 who is looking for a leading role and a new challenge. We need someone who is dedicated to the craft, writes code that they are proud of, and can hit the ground running on Magento 2 and bespoke PHP development.

You will be a part of an agile SaaS full-stack development team and will be responsible for all aspects of ongoing development, from initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching our Magento company website (Inclusive.co.uk) and bespoke PHP web applications.


  • Managing and re-writing our existing e-commerce company website
  • Creating new store fronts for new markets and territories
  • Write efficient, stable, testable, secure and reusable code to a high standard
  • Following industry best practices such as effective source control, code reviews, daily builds, and automated deployments, within an agile culture
  • Maintaining all Magento stores including upgrades, maintenance and patching
  • Manage API integrations particularly with our ERP software including ongoing updates
  • Solving complex performance problems and technical architectural challenges
  • Work alongside the existing developers and marketing team to improve UX, CRO, site speed etc.
  • Confident using Azure or AWS to deliver and support services


  • Experience of Magento 2
  • Refactoring legacy PHP/Magento 2 code
  • Experience using multi-store and currencies
  • Modern JavaScript (> ES6) (ReactJS preferred)
  • CSS experience
  • MySQL experience
  • Code adheres to clean code best practices, SOLID principles, code smells, Tell Don’t Ask, Four Simple Rules of Design etc.
  • Good understanding of OOP programming and functional programming.
  • Knowledge of REST API integrations and implementations
  • Good understanding of source/version control solutions, primarily Git
  • Using continuous delivery workflow to deploy features and updates frequently
  • Understanding of security vulnerabilities, and implementation of up to date security and data protection techniques
